Hold'em Poker
Texas Hold’em poker which you can play in all card rooms all around the globe is played with the traditional 52 cards deck with 2-11 gamblers. This variation uses the standard poker hand rankings. Before the players receive pocket cards two of them place the forced blinds. Then every gambler is dealt two hidden cards. The round of betting occurs. The gamblers may bet, call, check, fold and raise depending on the actions of the other players. Betting round is considered to be over as soon as all the poker gamblers contribute equal amounts into the pot. Then dealer deals three exposed cards called the flop. The next betting round proceeds and one more exposed card (the turn) is placed in the middle of poker table. The gamblers post bets once more and the last exposed card (or the river) is placed. According to the basic poker card rules, the last round of betting finishes by the showdown in which all the gamblers that are still in the hand reveal the cards and the winner is defined by the highest hand. Each player can use any of his or her pocket cards and any of the community cards on the poker table to form the hand. In case the hands tie the pot is split. In case all community cards form the highest hand in this game the pot is divided between all the poker gamblers.
Seven-Card Stud Poker Rules
7-Card Stud is one more traditional game that appears at poker game sites. The poker card rules of this game are not very hard and the most important thing you should remember is that all players are given seven cards, some of which are hidden and some exposed, and are to make the possible strong poker hand out of these seven cards.
As the poker card rules dictate, all poker players at the table make the ante bet. Then each poker player is given two hidden and one exposed cards. The gambler who receives the worst face up card makes the small bring-in amount. The round of betting then follows. One exposed card called the fourth street or turn is dealt to every gambler. The gamblers post bets starting with that gambler who has best exposed cards and one more exposed card (the fifth street or river) is dealt. One more the betting round follows. The sixth card known as the sixth street is dealt followed by betting. When the last seventh (the seventh street) card is dealt face down the players place bets once again. In the showdown the players show the cards and the winner gets the pot.
Omaha Poker
There are two main Omaha poker forms, Omaha High and Omaha High/Low, but the first version is the most widespread. The High Low form is gaining the popularity mostly in the USA casino halls. The poker card rules of Omaha are are alike the rules of Texas Holdem with a few differences. The first one is that the players get four pocket cards not two each and are to use two of them and three of exposed cards to make the hands. All rounds of betting are the same like in Holdem. The poker player with the highest five card hand is awarded the pot. One more feature of Omaha poker is that the players can’t play the board.
Caribbean Stud
Once this poker variation was tried as the experimental game it was so successful that most casino halls started to offer it. According to the poker card rules the gamblers firstly post the ante bets and are dealt five cards each from the standard 52 cards deck. The dealer is also given five cards one of which is exposed. Then the gamblers decide whether to fold or stay in the game. If you prefer to proceed you are to match the bet by wagering the amount equal to the ante bet. The dealer reveals the cards. If he or she qualifies (has King and Ace or better) the hands are compared. In another case the gamblers are paid out. So, in case you have higher hand than the dealer’s one you win the ante and call bet. There is the bonus payout table that makes game more exciting. Before you start gambling familiarize with the poker card rules and payout tables to understand your probabilities. Some online card rooms have all the mentioned information directly at the website.
