Womens Poker Skills Are on the Rise

Though it may have been thought in the past, that women can not be the best in the elusive World of Poker, it is not looked at the same today.  It may be more difficult for women to bluff in a game of poker, but they can keep up with the men just as well.  The game that was once exclusively played by males is seeing the sudden incline of female participants.  They are seemingly better as beginners than men.  They also have a mystery about their talent that throws the men off of their game.  As far as statistics are concerned women can even out wit the men 3 to 1.

That has to be because of the sudden rise in the participation of women right.  Wrong, they work harder to achieve success, because they have to do so to be on top.  Women tend to be more secretive and more cunning than male players of poker.  The men also have bigger egos and let their past winning ability cloud their minds.  This makes them weaker players than women, because they are more likely to show their tells, faster than females.  The fact that it was said that men were better poker players than women was strictly a numbers game.  Back then their was a much larger number of male players that were playing in the world poker tour than females.  That is what was causing the men to be ranked higher on the poker front.  It was strictly a ratio issue.

The average level of play for women is higher than men.  This is a great morale booster for women all over the world that want to get in the game.  Because of their work ethic, and willingness to learn, they are climbing in the stats of the world poker tour.  Men expect to be better at poker than women, and it frustrates them when they lose to a woman.  The worst overall play comes from a man.  This has been confirmed by the National World of Poker Association.  In that report, it clearly states that women can out play men 2 to 1.   The men that tend to play poker, especially online, play very fast and more aggressively than a woman would play.  They have no patience and often do not follow their own instincts.  That is why men tend to give women the edge.  Careless actions lead to bad results in this game a strategy.

They have no one but themselves to blame in this sudden depletion of their abilities.  The standard low performance issues that are plaguing the men in the game of poker, is their own fault.  You have to know how to play, and be able to focus on every hand individually.  Each hand in a poker game or tournament is equally important.  Because men tend to get easily distracted by women, they will lose their focus and make careless mistakes in their play.  In my honest opinion they need to stop being so cocky, and try to focus on the hands that they are playing at that very moment.  That will be the only way for the men to regain their status as better poker players than women.  To get back to the place where they were considered to be at the top of their game, they are going to have to wise up and start playing poker with clearer heads.  With the number of female competitors that are now seeking out the titles, men are going to have to start paying more attention to the poker, and less time worried about losing to a woman.  Until they get their mojo back, they are going to come out on the short end of the stick.                                                                  

The fact is that in today’s society women can do anything that men can do, and often times they can do it better to.  The truth of the matter is that because they know that they have to work twice as hard as men do to succeed in the competitive world of poker, they are willing to put in twice the effort, which is required of them.  Often times the women are much more eager and hungry for a win than men, and that is what it takes.
